DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY

Vocational Homemaking is an educational program offered in the high schools of America. The overall purpose of this program is the improvement of home, family and community life through training of youth and adults.

The Future Homemakers of America is a natural organization of pupils who have studied, or are studying, homemaking in organized home economics departments in our schools. It is the only homemaking organization under the supervision of the public school system. Its purpose includes leadership, organized recreation, and improved home and family living.

Through services to the home, school, and community, the members are becoming better leaders, participating citizens, and responsible family members.
