ADULT RULES &
REGULATIONS
These rules take the place of all rules that have been printed in the past.
- 1. Entries are open to all recognized, registered beef breeds.
- 2. Entry blanks must be returned to Andy Peterson 9630 Wawbeek Road, Century, FL 32535 no later than September 1, 2011.
- 3. Registration papers must be available at check in. In case of papers pending, it is the responsibility of the exhibitor to provide the superintendent with a letter from the breed association stating that the papers have been applied for but have not yet been processed. No papers pending will be accepted without presentation of this letter from the association.
- 4. In the event the number of entries exceeds the barn capacity, entries will be accepted in the chronological order in which they were received.
- 5. The management reserves the right to remove from the grounds any exhibit or animal that may be falsely entered, or may be deemed unsuitable or objectionable without assigning a reason.
- 6. At the discretion of the superintendent, exhibitors may be instructed to double tie their animals.
- 7. Names and telephone numbers of local veterinarians will be available from the superintendent’s office. Each exhibitor is responsible for any bills incurred.
- 8. Sick animals may be released immediately if a signed statement of a veterinarian is presented to the superintendent.
- 9. The fair management reserves the right to refuse permission for any individual exhibitor to erect or display any sign of objectionable size or content.
- 10. The fair provides bedding in the barn. No other bedding will be allowed.
- 11. Animals shall be the property of the exhibitor and shall appear on the records of the breed association at least thirty (30) days prior to the show. Fitting Service companies may exhibit in their respective name(s).
- 12. All trailers shall park in designated area.
- 13. No cattle shall be tied out on asphalt.
- 14. Outside tie-outs are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. Exhibitors must provide their own straw for bedding. Manure must be removed daily and dumped in roll-off container. No manure shall be left in the walk area (middle of tie outs).
- 15. Exhibitor may start tie-outs at 9:00 p.m. by removing every other animal from barn and finish others out at 10 p.m.
- 16. Tie ropes are required on all animals.
- 17. Pens and alleys are to be cleaned, and cattle groomed and in stalls by time fairgrounds open daily.
- 18. Exhibitor is to care for his own animals or make arrangements with someone to do so. The fair assumes no responsibility in any such case.
- 19. Feed boxes, tubs or water pails must be left in front of animals.
- 20. Only First and Second Place winners of their respective classes will be allowed to compete in Championship classes.
- 21. No exhibitor shall be permitted to win more than two (2) prizes in any one (1) class.
- 22. Individual animals shown in Group classes must have entered in Single classes.
- 23. Bulls must be exhibited with nose leads.
- 24. First Place, Blue Ribbon animals in the Youth Breading Show may compete in the Adult Show for ribbons only.
- 25. Premiums will be mailed to address on entry blank.
- 26. If any exhibitor or his respective interferes in any way with the judges or show disrespect to them or to the show, the management maywithhold from such exhibitor any premium monies that may have been awarded, or take any other steps deemed desirable.
- 27. Any violation of above rules constitutes forfeiture of prize money and awards.
- 28. Any fans must be OSHA approved and hung above cattle. NO floor standing fans allowed.
- 29.NOTRUCKS OR VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED TO BE PARKED AROUND THE LIVESTOCK BARN. YOU MUST PARK IN THE LIVESTOCK PARKING LOT.
