Youth Dairy Heifer Show

RULES

  1. 1. Exhibitors will be limited to Youth and FFA members in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties in Florida; and Escambia and Baldwin counties in Alabama.
  2. 2. Youth members must be 8 years old by show date in order to participate in Youth Dairy Heifer Show.
  3. 3. All exhibitors must have owned their animals by August 1, 2011 and must have a bill of sale or ownership papers.
  4. 4 . All unregistered animals must be recorded with the State Grade Recording Program.
  5. 5. All animals, stalls, and pens must be kept clean at all times. The show superintendent will hold premiums if stalls are not properly cared for.
  6. 6. All entries to the Youth Dairy Show must be received by September 1, 2011. Send Forms to Andy Peterson 9630 Wabweek Road Century, FL 32535 .
  7. 7. Feed and water pails must be furnished by the exhibitor and not left in front of the animals during fair hours: daily 4-10 p.m.
  8. 8. All animals will be placed according to the Modified Danish System according to their relative merits. After placing, the class will be divided into Blue, Red and White groups.
  9. 9. Check-in time for the Youth Dairy Heifer Show is 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 26. At this time, record books are due. If record books are not completed, prize monies will be forfeited.
  10. 10. All exhibitors may enter only two (2) exhibits into the show.
  11. 11. The Pensacola Interstate Fair will present a trophy to the top showman of the Youth Dairy Heifer Show.
  12. 12. All entries must be secured with rope halter and a tie rope.
  13. 13. All Youth Livestock rules must also be followed.
  14. 14. All animals must be shown with a show halter.
  15. 15. Dress code for showing dairy animals is all white with a logo.
  16. 16. Classes will be divided according to age and number of entries available.
  17. 17. All livestock health rules and regulations must be followed.
